This project was designed and created for a newly renovated promenade home in Hove. The interior of the home was remade in a contemporary style which is what lead to the inspiration for this gate and railing design. The use of traditional techniques such as forged rivets and tenons for the joints give the gate a character and depth similar to the style of the architecture surrounding the metal work.

The finish of the gate and railing is a galvanized under coat with an anthracite grey powder coat finish. Using a galvanized finish gives the metal work a robust and long lasting rust proof undercoat helping to protect it from the salt air in the area. This combined with the powder coat means this metal work won’t need any touching up or painting for a minimum of 25 years.
